With over 25 years experience in procurement solely within the public sector, my aim as Chief Executive is to lead with a clear focus on value, innovation and sustainable growth. I am passionate about strong governance, collaboration and our commitment to social value and drive the team to deliver the best services possible. My leadership approach is grounded in compassion and kindness, and believe that strong, people-centred leadership enables teams to thrive. I am proud to lead a talented and committed team, and guide the company through our next phase of growth and development, building on our strong foundations and core purpose.

My background is private sector buying roles before I moved into working in Public Sector Procurement in 2013. I was pleased to join EEM in 2015 and in my role as Head of Procurement I am responsible for leading the delivery of a compliant, transparent, efficient, and high-quality procurement service for EEM Members. This includes ensuring our Frameworks and Dynamic Markets remain relevant, innovative, and aligned with evolving needs. The role holds overall accountability for the performance and management of the Procurement Team and as a key member of the leadership plays a vital role in supporting the Chief Executive in achieving the organisation’s strategic vision and corporate objectives.

I joined EEM in 2023 after 20 years working within various roles in the Fire Service and Education sector. I now oversee the Finance, Compliance and Marketing areas of the business.

I manage the EEM material supply frameworks, overseeing the full procurement process from tender through to ongoing framework management. I deliver mini-competitions, identify opportunities to develop and enhance our framework offering, and ensure our frameworks remain relevant across the sectors we work with. I also work closely with our Client Relationship Team to support contractor reviews, direct awards and framework compliance, including contractor accreditations and price reviews.

Matt brings over 35 years of public sector experience to EEM, having progressed from a plumbing apprentice to senior roles across surveying, contract management, operations, and business development, including Director of Client Relationships. At EEM, he supports the procurement team on the technical development of framework specifications and pricing schedules, while acting as a Subject Matter Expert to ensure frameworks are compliant, fit for purpose, and deliver value for clients.

I recently joined EEM and procurement is new to me, but the support from the team at EEM has been second to none. I’m exciting to get stuck in and learn everything there is to know. My background is in Sales and Purchasing, but at EEM as an Assistant Procurement Officer, I will aid the rest of the team in developing mini competitions, DPSs and Frameworks.

I am here to gain hands-on experience, explore the ins and outs of procurement in the public sector, and work towards achieving a Procurement & Supply Level 3 qualification.

I joined EEM in 2023 with experience across aerospace, transport and healthcare, following eight years in operational planning and contract management. As Client Relationship Manager, I support the Client Relationship Team in delivering efficient, high-quality procurement solutions, providing a trusted, member-focused service, whilst building a great relationship with our supply chain. I contribute to EEM’s goal of providing simple, reliable services that deliver value for money and create social value for the communities we serve.

I build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, suppliers and partner organisations, acting as a key point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders. I provide guidance on EEM's procurement solutions and frameworks, helping clients identify the most suitable options for their requirements. I also identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships, develop new partnerships, and ensure everyone I work with receives a professional, responsive service.

I build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, suppliers and partner organisations, acting as a key point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders. I provide guidance on EEM's procurement solutions and frameworks, helping clients identify the most suitable options for their requirements. I also identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships, develop new partnerships, and ensure everyone I work with receives a professional, responsive service.

I manage all client contracts throughout their lifecycle, taking ownership of contract execution, compliance and the ongoing monitoring of live call-offs. I ensure contractual obligations are met and services are delivered effectively. I maintain a focus on contract retention, working closely with the Client Relationships Executives to maximise opportunities to build loyalty and continuation of contracts.

I provide support across the team in the delivery of client engagement, framework uptake and contract management activities, helping to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. I work collaboratively to support effective administration of contracts, maximise uptake and ensure a positive client experience.

I have worked in a variety of sectors (including Engineering, Social Housing Finance, and Further Education Funding) so you may say my path to EEM has been a bendy one! In all my roles I have Excelled at Excel (and other data applications) for data interpretation, analysis and management. Having joined EEM in February 2016 I have brought this insight to support our members, contractors and the EEM team to identify savings and efficiencies in the materials, services and work we do.

My role at EEM is to analyse and interpret data, producing various reports for our members, merchants and manufacturers. I also evaluate pricing tenders for all frameworks and review / amend existing price files based on annual price increases. I build relationships with our members, contractors and merchants to ensure continued support and management to deliver best price.

I joined EEM in 2024 after eight years working in accounts across the fire, security and electrical sectors. Since then, I’m delighted to have progressed to Finance Manager. In my role, I enjoy helping to strengthen EEM’s financial procedures and supporting the organisation through an exciting period of growth. I’m passionate about driving efficiency, keeping our financial processes running smoothly and contributing to EEM’s mission to deliver high-quality, not-for-profit procurement solutions.

I am completing a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with DBC training. My main focus is providing administrative support across the business, as well as helping at events, setting up for meetings, and assisting the team wherever needed to ensure everything runs smoothly.

As Marketing & Communications Manager, I lead EEM's marketing and communications activity, ensuring our brand, messaging and campaigns are consistent, engaging and aligned with our organisational objectives. I manage the Marketing team, overseeing the planning and delivery of marketing, communications and event delivery across our digital and print channels. I work closely with colleagues across the business to promote EEM's frameworks, services and events, while leading the development of our marketing strategy and using insight and data to continually improve how we engage with members, suppliers and stakeholders.

I am currently studying towards my AAT qualification through premier training. I assist with a wide range of financial tasks and enjoy contributing to the smooth running of the finance department.

I lead the development of EEM's communications strategy, helping to ensure our messaging is clear, consistent and tailored to the audiences we work with. I create engaging content, support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, and use data and insight to continually improve how we communicate with our members, suppliers and stakeholders.

As Marketing & Events Executive I lead the planning and delivery of EEM’s events including our annual award ceremony, exhibitions, webinars and other internal and external events. I enjoy managing every stage of an event, from the initial idea and planning through to delivery on the day and evaluating success afterwards. I also support the wider Marketing team across a variety of campaigns as needed.

I’m currently completing a Level 3 Marketing Apprenticeship with DBC Training, supporting the team across a wide range of marketing tasks. I also lead on all things Social Value at EEM, helping to showcase the positive impact we create.
